Lacey Connell


Originally from Leavenworth, Kansas, Lacey is a graduate from Manhattan School of Music where she studied voice with Ashley Putnam and Maitland Peters receiving her BM in vocal performance. She most recently studied with Broadway veteran Erica Aubrey and continues to grow as an actor through various programs at local theatre houses. Some of her favorite stage credits include Janet in "Rocky Horror Picture Show" with Roxy Regional Theatre,  Judy Garland (u.s) in "End of the Rainbow" at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities, Peter Pan in "Peter Pan," with Starkey Theatrix, as well as Dorothy in "Wizard of Oz" and Louise in “Gypsy” at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.

Additionally, Lacey is a teaching artist specializing in educating young performers at various regional theatres as well as through her own private studio. Her teaching experiences include music directing "Pirates of Penzance Jr." at the Roxy Regional theatre, leading musical theatre workshops and intensives at Nashville Children's Theatre, as well as assisting and lead directing the Theatre School productions at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.

Most recently, Lacey completed an Artistic Internship with Nashville's Studio Tenn Theatre Company. She worked closely with artistic, producing, and administrative staff to help build and create shows that garnish both local and national press alike. Lacey was able to grow multiple fields including, but not limited to, costuming, production management, and communications. She was also chosen to assist in additional projects such as their seasonal auditions and scanning source materials to aid in the selection process of the next season's productions.

Lacey looks forward to future endeavors both behind the scenes and on stage as she relocates to the New River Valley, Virginia area.
